Peaceful Pines

It’s time for another Global Design Project challenge. This week we bring back a color challenge, and what a seasonal combination of colors it is. Real Red, Old Olive and Crumb Cake make up this week’s palette and the Peaceful Pines bundle from Stampin’ Up! is the perfect complement.

Peaceful Pines Stamp Set

I started with a Crumb Cake card base embossed using the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for my background. A strip from Merry Moments Designer Series Paper  adds a ground to layout the rest of my project.

The Perfect Pines stamp set includes a variety of different designs you can stamp for your trees. I choose to stamp one with Old Olive ink and the other embossed with gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Stampin' Up! 'Tis the Season

A sentiment from the same stamp set is embossed in white over Real Red cardstock. It was then die cut from the Tags & Labels Framelits Dies. Linen Thread ties the tag to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this card. Join us at Global Design Project this week and show us your take on the color challenge. Are you inspired by the Christmas Season or do you have another idea in mind? Play along and show us.

I love your card Shawn and the way you’ve placed the trees adds a lovely dimension. The red tag is the perfect accent.

I love the simple elements you have combined on this card to give it a real “outdoors” feel Shawn. I like the gold embossing on one of the trees too. Another great project from you Shawn!

Thi is a great color combination and I love what you did with it. I’ve seen so many embossed pieces with Woodland TIEF but not with that color. Great job!
