Hello, stampers. The Global Design Project has such a fun challenge for us today. As you know, we like to mix things up with a variety of challenges and today it’s a theme: Celebrate.
What I love most about this challenge is that you can celebrate just about anything; a birthday, new baby, graduation, retirement, achievement, you name it. Then the possibilities are endless as to what you make. I made a wedding card.
Colors of Basic Black and Whisper White with a touch of Gold came right to the top of mind when I started thinking about celebrations.
The pear from the Silhouettes & Script stamp set is one of my favorite images from the Annual catalog. I embossed it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss powder over Basic black cardstock.
“Congrats” from the Cottage Greetings stamp set is stamped with Basic Black Archival Ink along the side of the pear. Although the pear stands on its own, this little addition completes the statement I wanted to share. Generally, it is not a good idea to mix scripts, but there is enough contrast for these typestyles to work together.
Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper, sequins and washi tape coordinate to embellish the card. Black Glimmer paper (which is available in our Year-End Sale) adds shine to the bottom edge of the card.
