Celebrate balloons with the Global Design Project. This week we have a fun challenge using the theme “Balloons.” Stampin’ Up! has so many exciting options to make fun balloon projects you’re sure to enjoy.
I made a card using the Balloon Bouquet punch in two ways. I used it to make my own stencil and used one of the balloons as an embellishment.
Using the negative space of the punches a quick and easy way to get a stencil. This method made it simple to sponge balloons all over the background of the card. I overlapped balloons in bunches and floating towards the top of the card using Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Mint Macaron Classic Stampin’ pads for the colors.
You will also find lots of sparkle on this card. The background is sponged on Shimmery White Cardstock which has a little bit if shimmer in it. The sentiment from Expressions Natural Elements was embossed several times with Iradescent Ice Stampin’ Emboss Powder for a glimmery effect and the ribbon is a shiny piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon.
I also punched a balloon out of Shimmery White Cardstock, brushed it with Wink of Stella glitter pen and coated it with with Glossy Accents for a fun embellishment.
I hope you enjoyed the card today. Take some time to head over to Global Design Project and join in the fun.
