Stampin' Up! What I Love stamp set

Everyone needs a thank you card every now and then so today I am sharing a super-simple one made with the FREE Sale-a-Bration set, What I Love by Stampin’ Up!

The colors are inspired by Global Design Project #GDP025, an ultra-modern color combination. Industrial colors like Basic Gray and Smoky Slate are matched with Daffodil Delight for this week’s challenge.

Global Design Project GDP025

What I Love includes a 3-step flower stamp, foliage and three sentiments that can make a simple card a special card. I stamped the flowers in Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate. Smoky Slate leaves were also stamped on Daffodil Delight cardstock for the card base.

A strip of Basic Gray cardstock was embossed with the sentiment in white Stampin’ Emboss powder. I have a neat little trick below to help you emboss this tiny sentiment or any other fine-line images.

Have you ever had trouble heat-embossing thin lines with white embossing powder? Instead of using a glue pad, use Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Ink. Traditional glue pads work great, but with thin lines, embossing powder may not fill in those tiny gaps very well. Using a white pigment ink like Stampin’ Up! Craft Stampin’ Ink instead, fills those spaces with white ink, leaving a crisper image.

Great tip, great card! I love the flowers and layout on this card, but I’m obsessed with the way you’ve added the branches on the right side. Such design genius!
