April Paper Pumpkin and May Sneak Peek

Paper Pumpkin April 2016

I’ve been having fun all week with the April Paper Pumpkin kit, Lovely Little Wreath. Yesterday, I showed you the wreath and today I’m sharing a cute little card using the rest of the stamp set included with the project kit. This alternative project was made with scraps included in the kit and a couple of extras.

The inspiration for the layout comes from Pals Paper Arts: a sketch by Ginger Toivonen. The shapes in the sketch immediately reminded me of the tags included in the Paper Pumpkin kit so I turned the sketch on its side and stamped away.

PPA-298-Apr28To keep the colors in line with the kit, I used Crumb Cake (instead of Kraft Cardstock) to make a B4 card base. I stamped the squiggly flower with Crumb Cake ink on Very Vanilla cardstock cut ½ inch smaller than the card and adhered it to the base.

The Very Vanilla Craft Stampin’ Spot, included in the kit, was used to stamp the sentiments on the Basic Black tags. I decorated the card with Very Vanilla Thick Baker’s Twine and a Bow Paperclip Embellishment.

Although you can no longer get this stamp set, you can still Subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and get May’s kit. Even though these kits are usually a surprise, we have a sneak peek for you today. Subscribe by May 10, 2016 to get in on this.

So without further ado, here’s a little peek at the May kit:

I can’t wait to get my hands on that! You can get it too if you subscribe before May 10, 2016! From the name of the set, it sounds like we’ll get some ideas that are appropriate for the guys in our lives, but I just can’t wait for those laser-cut backgrounds!
