Birthday Butterfly Bag

This week’s Global Design Project challenge is to CASE the Designer and our featured designer is Krista Frattin from Stampin’ Dolce. When CASEing a card, you may use the colors, theme or layout to create your own take on the project. For my gift bag, I used several elements from Krista’s original.

Global Design Project #GDP032

The gift bag is cut on a Big Shot using Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies. The Mint Macaron-striped paper is included in the 2015–2017 In Color Envelope Paper collection. This thinner designer paper is perfect for projects like this. The butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies is cut twice; once from Pink Pirouette cardstock and once form vellum cardstock.

The fun greeting from the Suite Sayings stamp set is stamped with Basic Gray Archival Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut from one of the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies. Holes are easily pierced using an Updated Essentials template. Smokey Slate Thick Baker’s Twine adds a fun element to the end of the tag.

ShawnStamps ColorCue 12I hope you enjoyed this simple project. It’s an easy way to make a treat bag perfect for party favors or to hand deliver a special card. Take some time to play along with the challenge this week. I’d love to see what you’re up to.

This is another beautiful card, Shawn. I love the color combo and your take on the butterfly challenge. Butterflies are always a favorite. I love that you have the pink butterfly from CS and then one on top from vellum. Have a great day.
