Botanical Blooms in Color

Welcome to another Challenge from Global Design Project. For this week’s theme challenge, we are experimenting with all things “nature.” With so much inspiration and so many Stampin’ Up! stamp sets to choose from, I decided to included another challenge for myself: find some inspiration from Pinterest. Global Design Project #GDP031 PINspired001I pinned this amazing image several weeks ago. I love the colors and the great heart shape made with stamped images. For today’s card I used similar colors to create a colorful background with the Botanical Blooms stamp set. You can find it in the Occasions Catalog. Click the Pin below for a close-up and don’t forget to follow me on Pinterest while you’re there.

Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin’ Pads matched the colors in the inspiration photo beautifully. The Botanical Blooms photopolymer stamp set also made this project a joy to create. The set includes 17 different stamps with a variety of sizes and shapes. I stamped the larger images first and filled in the background with gradually smaller stamps until I was satisfied with the layout.

The only thing missing from this stamp set was a sentiment.

Botanical Blooms

Enter the Happy Happenings stamp set. This set includes 14 stamps and they are all greetings. I stamped one on a strip of Whisper White cardstock. This is such an easy way to make a card for nearly any occasion. Change up the colors, shapes and greeting, and you have a simple way to go-to layout for any card. ColorCue #11I hope you enjoyed the card today. I will share more PINspired cards in the future. What else are we supposed to do with all those boards we collect? Follow me on Pinterest and maybe you can find some inspiration too.
