Rose Garden Thinlits

Rose Garden Thinlits

Today’s card features the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies by Stampin’ Up! This intricate die collection includes beautiful roses, leaves and a banner shape that easily adds a touch of nature to any card.

The color combination is inspired by Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge #PPA299 by Peggy Noe. Soft shades of Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz are combined with gold for a modern touch.

Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge PPA299

I started the card today by cutting the large Thinlit three times. One on each color of cardstock including Gold Foil Sheets by Stampin’ Up!

Using multipurpose glue, I adhered the gold outline on Very Vanilla cardstock and filled in the rose with the other colors. Sure, this took a bit of time to assemble, but the results are amazing and the time spent was therapeutic.

The card front was then adhered to a Crumb Cake card base. If you haven’t noticed, Crumb Cake is a go-to color for my cards. The light brown tone offers a neutral foundation that I find to work with almost any project.

I stamped a sentiment from the Rose Wonder Photopolymer stamp set using Chocolate Chip ink then embossed the frame in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The frame was cut using the Framelit in the collection and adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed the card today. If so, please leave a comment below. I love reading them. I would also love it if you hopped over to Pals Paper Arts and played along with this challenge. You can post your creation to an online board like Pinterest, then link it up to the challenge. It’s so much fun and easy to do.

Thanks for stopping by.

Your card is lovely! You have more patience than I do. I was going to paper piece this design yesterday and when I had all of the tiny pieces in front of me, I changed my mind.

Ha! I know what you mean. Let me just say the Big Shot brush made it easier by keeping the pieces in the right place.

Shawn, this is a beautiful but simple card and I love that. I love this rose die and piecing it like a jigsaw puzzle is so much fun and as you say “therapeutic”.

Shawn, you and I were on the same wave-length for card design this week! I promise I made mine before I saw yours!! Yours is much more intricate than mine, with the pieces puzzled together like that. I love it! Beautifully done 🙂

I love when that happens! But how could we resist, that rose is meant to be that way isn’t it?
