Confetti Celebration by Stampin’ Up! is a fun stamp set with bold greetings and happy images. Today, I’ve combined these images with a color challenge by Global Design Project: Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White and Night of Navy.
I love when a few elements come together to create a bright and fun card. I started by embossing “Hooray,” from the stamp set with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder over Night of Navy cardstock. Yay was stamped with Sweet Sugarplum on Whisper White. Both greetings were then cut using paper punches by Stampin’ Up!; the 2-inch Circle Punch and Medium Star Punch made it easy to cut these shapes and add interest to the card.
The string of lights image was stamped down a strip of Whisper White cardstock and stamped-off here and there to give the image a little more depth. Another sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink at the bottom of the strip. I like how it rhymes when read aloud.
I used the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create another texture for the base of the card and wrapped that with a band of Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon.
I hope you enjoyed the card today. If so, leave a comment below. I also invite you to play along with this great color challenge at Global Design Project. We love seeing what you come up with.
