Sunshine Sayings is the fun new stamp set featured on today’s card for this week’s Global Design Project theme: Get Well Soon. I thought a great way to cheer someone up is the promise of sunshine and this bundle does not let us down either. The sentiments are sure to cheer anyone up and there are so many ways you can customize the messages.
I started the card by stamping the flower images using new Ombre Stampin’ Pads in Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda colors. These ink pads make it easy to add a gradient look to a stamped image. You can see how the color appears to fade. Calypso Coral is also available in the new Ombre Stampin’ Pads.
Of course the other half of the Sunshine Sayings bundle is the amazing Sunshine Wishes Dies. I cut the “sunshine” from one of the dies on watercolor paper and colored it using Aqua Painters, Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay ink. The set includes three more sentiments and three more fun-shaped dies. I’m pretty sure it was the first thing on my list.
I love sentiment dies because you can embellish a card and the greeting at the same time. These particular ones are drawn in a great writing style and there are such useful sentiments included.
An easy way to add a border without much work is to simply add color. I used a Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Marker and ran the brush tip along the edge of the card panel. This was just what the card needed and I think imperfect line suits the style of the stamped images.
I hope you’ve been inspired to join us at Global Design Project. See more creative interpretations of the them from our design team and talented participants. Make something and post it too. We love seeing all the projects you create.
