Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! Can you believe we are half-way to Christmas? It might seem a bit early to start looking at wintry scenes and holiday goodies, but there are so many great products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2016 Annual Catalog that we want to share before the Holiday Catalog is revealed next month. Today’s Blog Hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist’s take on Christmas in July. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
For today’s hop, I chose to show you another way to use the upcoming limited-release bundle, Thoughtful Branches. Click here to see the first sneak peek I made with this bundle. This unique bundle, which will only be available in August, can be used for so many occasions, you mustn’t miss the opportunity to add it to your collection.
I stamped the trunk of the tree in Sahara Sand ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then the leaves over them in Garden Green ink to match the Designer Series Paper in the background. Because these stamps are photopolymer, it is so easy to line up the images. The birds, included in the Thoughtful Branches set, were stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink then die cut using the matching Thinlits dies that will also be available for limited time in August.
The banner was made using the Host stamp set, Time of Year, which coordinates with the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies that I used to cut it out. A little patterned paper from This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper was used to add texture in the background. You are seeing both sides of the same sheet in my example.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Karen Browning at StampWithMeKZB. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
