Stampin' Up! Halloween Blog Hop
Welcome to InKing Royalty’s September Blog Hop! We are excited to share some super-fun creations with you today! This month’s Blog Hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist’s take on the spookiest time of year—Halloween. What fun! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Cookie-Cutter Halloween

I’m sharing two fun cards with these cute scary little characters from the Cookie-Cutter Halloween stamp set by Stampin’ Up! I’ll also reveal a little Boo Boo I made that I hope you’ll avoid.

My cards started by stamping these guys with Basic Black Archival ink and using Blender Pens with Classic Stampin’ Pads to color them in. They are easily cut out with the Cookie-Cutter Builder Punch which even included the little heart I used on the skeleton.

The background was created by stamping Playful Backgrounds stamps with Ombre Stampin’ Pads. These vibrant colors pop off the page and they create a gradient effect that I love. I used some Halloween Night Baker’s Twine which includes two rolls of twine to add some ground behind the figures.

The card bases were created by scoring lines every quarter-inch with the scoring blade of my Stampin’ Trimmer. This adds some texture without a lot work.

I love that the Cookie-Cutter Builder Punch also coordinates with the Cookie-Cutter Christmas set which is available in a bundle. I loved it so much that I ordered them together to get the most out of my seasonal stamping. That’s when I noticed my little Boo Boo.

I totally forgot to get a stamp set with Halloween greetings. Oops. Luckily Cookie-Cutter Christmas included this one that I thought matched these smiling pals. Do as I say not as I do; right? Stampin’ Up! has more Halloween stamps. Maybe consider getting some greetings.

I’ll show my picks in a future post.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Becky Volpp at InkBlossom with Becky. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group, and you don’t want to miss it!

Shawn, I adore the color combinations you have chosen! They really bring out the fun in your cards…the texture adds so much to the card base. And you reminded me I don’t use my blinder pen enough…thanks and love it

I couldn’t love these cards more, Shawn! Everything you do has that “I wish I’d thought of that” reaction from me. Those colorful “bubbles” are a perfect accent – and I love the scored bases. Great work and lots of fun!
