Making Spirits Bright

Welcome to another color challenge for Global Design Project. This week we play with Early Espresso, Real Red and Crumb Cake. The pop of red truly stands out among the neutral browns. With that in mind, I created a simple card that does just that—makes the red pop.

Global Design Project GDP065

I started with by laying a piece of Whisper White card stick over a Crumb Cake card base. Using the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, I embossed another piece of Crum Cake and wrapped it with Real Red ¾-inch Stitched Edge Ribbon.

With the card base complete, I used my Big Shot to add finishing touches. I just love the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies and have used them here to cut out pine boughs in Early Espresso and the Real Red bow shape.

I stamped a sentiment from the Tin of Tags stamp set and cut it out using the new Stitched Shapes Framelites. A scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits adds a nice touch.

I hope I’ve inspired you to use products from the Annual Catalog mixed with new products and the Holiday Catalog too.

Play along with us at Global Design Project; I’d love to see what you come up with too.
