Welcome to InKing Royalty’s December Blog Hop! While Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are actively ordering from the 2017 Occasions Catalog and earning products from the 2017 Sale-a-Bration brochure, we are also getting ready for the upcoming holidays. We are excited to share some fun winter-themed projects with you! Today’s Winter Wishes Blog Hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist’s take on Winter. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Today I’m sharing a wish of Joy for you this winter. Both for the holidays and the new year to come.
Metallic copper accents shine over light tones in this easy-to-make card with a lot of pop. Cutting the wreath halfway through with Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies is easy and adds a lot of interest to an otherwise simple card.
Wondrous Wreath by Stampin’ Up! is stamped with Soft Sky ink the center of the card. Emerald Envy berries add contrast without distracting from the sentiment.
After stamping the wreath, it’s time to add a little wow to your cutting. Making this kind of cut is easy on the Big Shot. Simply hold the die in place over the stamped image with washi tape and place it on your Big Shot platform. Only cover half of the die with the top cutting pad and run the sandwich through.
Cut the center of the wreath separately because you’ll want the whole piece to cut. Next, cut the straight edges on the sides with scissors.
Metallic Copper thread is wrapped around the card several times and held on the back with tape. Pop the wreath up with Stampin Dimensionals and add the sentiment cut from the same set of dies on Copper Foil Sheets.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Brian King at Stamp with Brian. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
