Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop—our first hop of 2017! Today’s hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist’s take “Love is in the Air”. This is the best time of year to start planning your Valentine’s Day projects. There are amazing, new products in Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions Catalog—and NOW is the best time to get them. We are excited to share our projects with you and hope they inspire you! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
For a blog hop such as this, I could not think of a better combination of supplies than the Sealed with Love stamp set and Love Notes Framelits by Stampin’ Up! These are available in a bundle in the 2017 Occasions Catalog and feature lots of classic designs and traditional themes for Valentine’s Day or any time you need to say, “I love you.”
Today I’m sharing a card that will be sure to make your heart flutter with intricate details and a little secret… it only takes 5 minutes to make.
Start with a Crumb Cake card base measured at 8.5″ x 5.5″, score it down the center at 4.25″, but don’t fold it just yet. Now cut a panel each of 4.25″ x 5.5″ cardstock from Whisper White and Real Red. Use the heart border from Love Notes Framelits Dies and cut the right edge of each piece of cardstock.
OK, now is the fun part. Slip the right side of the Real Red hearts underneath the Crumb Cake hearts and then do the same with the Whisper White hearts under the red. Hold on tight and carefully add some Multipurpose Glue under the red and white layers to stick to the card base. This is when I trimmed the left edge to match the card base.
Now just grab your favorite sentiment from Sealed with Love and stamp it in Real Red ink, add some ribbon like the Real Red I used here—included in the Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack—and done.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Jennifer Spiller at Westside Paper Creations. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group and you don’t want to miss it!
