Sunshine and Rainbows

What can make a sketch challenge more fun than a bright and colorful card? That’s the question I attempt to answer with this card using the Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle by Stampin’ Up! These sets include lots of fun bits and pieces you can use to create a fun scene.  Sunshine & Rainbows by Stampin’ Up!

A card base of Whisper White cardstock was heat-embossed with adorable litte raindrops for texture. I used Clear Stampin’ Emboss powder, but white will work too.

Subtles cardstock papers were cut with Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies. Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper is used for the cloud and Whisper White cardstock was cut with Lots of Labels Framelits Dies. The label diecut served as a base to assemble all the pieces of the rainbow with Multipurpose Glue.

You may be wondering where the patterned paper in the background came from. It’s actually a piece of card from the Color Me Happy Project Kit where I also found the sequins.

Night of Navy and Smoky Slate cardstock strips help the heat-embossed sentiment stand out and some Silver Thread adds extra shine in a delicate way.

I hope you enjoyed the card today. Don’t forget to play along with Global Design Project for lots of inspiration and fun challenges week-to-week.
