Don’t you just love a color challenge? Today’ I’m sharing a bright, fun one for Global Design Project. This week we are playing with Sweet Sugarplum, Bermuda Bay and Peekaboo Peach; a great combination with contrast and lot’s of opportunity for a variety of projects.
For this challenge, I’ve decided to make a Valentine’s Day shaker card with the Sure Do Love You bundle from Stampin’ Up! This fun bundle includes nine rubber stamps and ten dies in the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies set. Bundles are 10% off and you’ll want these two sets together anyway.
First I stamped a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the large leafy heart, then cut the center out with the matching Framelit. Next I flipped the card front over and attached a piece of Window Sheets with Snail Adhesive flush against the cut-out.
The next step was to create a shadow box to hold all the shaky pieces. Foam Adhesive Strips makes this easy. I cut pieces and matched the heart shape. Next I placed more stamped die-cuts of the smaller hearts in the center with iridescent sequins I fished out my Metallics Sequin Assortment. More foam around the edge of the card front attaches it security to an A4 card base made of Whisper White Cardstock.
The sentiment was also stamped and cut from the Sure Do Love You Bundle. Stampin’ Dimensionals attach it to over top.
I hope you enjoyed the card today. Be sure to visit Global Design Project to play along with this fun color challenge.
