Just a Note to Say Hello

Share What You Love Suite by Stampin' Up!

Happy Monday! I’ve got a great card to share with you today. It uses products from exclusive bundles that are available now during an early release from the 2018–2019 Annual Catalog coming June 1, 2018. Products from the Share What You Love Suite have been bundled and a few extras have been included in each for a limited time through May 31, 2018.

You’ll also see two of my favorite past In Colors that are coming back and joining the full-time color collection: Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron. A current In Color, Tranquil Tide is also used for the flower’s stems.

Global Design Project #GDP139

This card is inspired by Global Design Project: Theme Challenge #GDP139: Just a Note. Click the banner above to play along.

I started the card base by layering with embossed flowers from the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. They are brightened up by lightly sponging them with Sponge Daubers dipped in Whisper White Craft Stampin’ ink.

A flower stamp was chosen to be the focal point. It’s from the Love What You Do stamp set and colored with Stampin’ Write Markers—Tranquil Tide and Blackberry Bliss. Remember to huff on the stamp after coloring and before stamping. This will moisten the ink enough if it drys while you color. I stamped the image one more time to cut out an extra flower to pop up.

“Hello” is stamped with letters from the Make a Difference stamp set. This alphabet set has a handwritten look and feel. Because it’s photopolymer it’s easy to line the letters up and because they look handwritten, you don’t have to worry about them looking wonky or unaligned.

Here is a easy way to color your flowers using a Blender Pen. Simply scribble on an acrylic block with a Stampin’ Write Marker and use the Blender Pen to pick up the color. Next make upward strokes from the stem on each of the flower’s petals. As the Blender Pen runs out of ink, the color will soften adding variation.

I also used the Blender pen to add some Mint Macaron to the petals in the background. The tone-on-tone is a subtle way to add a little something extra to the embossing.

The focal is cut using a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. The circle is glued to a Pearlized Doily and my extra flower is popped off using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls are scattered on the card too.

Statement of My Heart Stamp Set

Inside the card is a little note stamped with an extra-special stamp. This Statement of My Heart stamp is an exclusive one; only available in the Gotta Have it All Bundle. It’s stamped to a laser-cut shape from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.

Below is a closer look at the stamp. If you love the sentiment and want to get your hands on this stamp, you can’t wait! This stamp will not be available in the 2018-2019 catalog; but only through May 31, 2018 when you purchase the Gotta Have it All Bundle.

Wow! I originally thought you embossed vellum with the flower folder, but the white craft ink really makes the embossing pop right off the card. Beautiful colors, gorgeous card.
