I’m exited to announce that Punxsutawney Phil—the weather-predicting groundhog that works one day each year—did not see his shadow and has thus predicted an early spring this year. This is perfect because there are lots of springtime favorites in this year’s Occasions Catalog and I have to get started showing them to you. Let’s start with some flowers for this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge: Down the Garden Path.
I found lots flowers in the Happiness Blooms Suite by Stampin’ Up! Such a bright and colorful collection of supplies.
My card starts with a Lovely Lipstick base embossed with the Dot to Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A leafy card from the Happiness Blooms Memories & More pack creates a contrasting base for the focal. Stamped and trimmed flowers around a 2¼” punched circle makes the sentiment stand out. This greeting came from the Incredible Like You stamp set.
If you know me, you know that I just love the little things. All the tiny embellishments and detailed touches that—in my opinion—make a good card great.
On this card I punched tiny flowers from the Designer Series Paper using the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack. They shine with Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots. I think my favorite thing though is the Whisper White ⅝” Flax Ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my card. Now show us your take on this week’s challenge at Global Design Project.
