Thinking of You with Lilypad Lake

Welcome to another post for Global Design Project. This week we are working with a color challenge: Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo and Night of Navy. This combination has me wishing for summer so I chose the Lilypad Lake stamp set and Lakeside Dies for my card today.

I started by stamping images from the Lilypad Lake stamp set using each of the challenge colors. Next I applied some ink from each pad onto an acrylic block and picked up the color with Blender Pens to color each image.

The Lakeside Dies easily cut the images and the wavy water pattern for the background. Note, I made a mint and a melon image of the lily pad, then cut the flowers from the melon image and glued them on top of the mint one so each piece has it’s own monochromatic outline.

I stamped a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. Some blue twine frames the sentiment for little nautical feel.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed the card and play along with this week’s challenge at Global Design Project.
