Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate the 4th of July. The projects are inspirational, patriotic and filled with reds, whites and blues. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Today I’m sharing a #simplestamping card that anyone can do with just a few supplies and the Pattern Play stamp set.
Start with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock and fold it in half from top to bottom. This will make a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ vertical card base.
The focal of the card is on a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Begin by stamping the stripes from the stamp set with Poppy Parade ink. I started on the bottom edge and stamped one more time just above. This is easy to line up with clear, photopolymer stamp sets.
Next, I stamped the sentiment with Night of Navy ink towards the lower right of the white space.

Finally, for the fun part, I stamped the sparkles using Pacific Point. I inked it once, and stamped it twice for a bright and lighter version of the same color. We call that Stamping Off or second generation stamping.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Ann Murray at Murray Stamps Ink. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

June 18, 2020 at 12:34 amGreat card! I am impressed with your creativity. I look at the stamp set, and I don’t see the 4th of July, but your card is brilliant. What was your inspiration? The stripes? I like the three colors you used, and your finished card is gorgeous. Now, whenever I see this stamp set, I will envision your card! Thanks for sharing this.
June 17, 2020 at 7:50 amThanks, Linda. I was actually looking for stars, but I saw the little bursts in the stamp set and loved them. Then I saw the stripes and it just came together too easily.
