A Year of Celebrations Blog Hop: Christmas

InKing Royalty Blog Hop for Christmas

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop. During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month we celebrate Christmas which, believe it or not, is just around the corner. Please prepare yourself for lots of beautiful projects that share the joy of this holiday. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Merry and Bright for Christmas

Today I’ll share a fun and “bright” Christmas card using the Peace & Joy bundle by Stampin’ Up!

My card starts by stamping greenery from the Peace & Joy stamp set over Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Accents of Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade are also stamped for some depth.

Christmas stamping color palette. Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce

The color palette for today’s card includes some Christmas favorites like Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce with fresh accents of Coastal Cabana and Soft Sea Foam. I just love the combination.

Merry and Bright Stamping

My favorite part of the bundle are the Joy Dies; and that’s the focal point and sentiment of this card. The dies include the words joy, bright and peace in a fun script, but it also includes two additional dies for each word to create a bubbly outline like I did above.

“Bright” stands out in Poppy Parade against Whisper White and atop Coastal Cabana. Some Poppy ribbon from the All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack and Stampin’ Dimensionals help the sentiment stand out.

what a pretty color combination. I adore that stamp/die bundle. Your using of the soft sea foam as a card base is so creative and provides just the right backdrop. Love it Shawn

This is a great color combination – it gives it a bit of a seaside look, while still using traditional Christmas colors. I like how you stamped first, then layered your cut pieces. Your layers are stunning and I like the texture. I also like the placement of everything on the card.
