Stampin’ Favorites Blog Hop: Hearts

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites—our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature hearts so prepare yourself for lots and lots of love. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Always in My Heart Bundle

What time of year is more perfect for hearts than Valentine’s Day? Today I’m sharing a fun little box that is perfect to share some love.

Love You Always Treat Boxes make great matchbox packages to fit treats and small gifts. They measure 4-1/16″ x 2-11/16″ x 1-1/2″ for your reference.

I lightly added Blushing Bride ink to color the white box using Blending Brushes. These new brushes are so fine and soft that it is difficult to make a mistake when you are trying to add soft color to any project.

Stamping tiny hearts with Blushing Bride add a little more texture to the background.

ColorCue #28 Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose and Basic Black

Die-cut filigree with a perfect heart in the middle are cut using the Floral Heart Dies from Love You Always Foil Sheets (Rococo Rose). This is attached over the stamped heart using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the focal heart with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the same floral heart to cut it out. A few embellishments like a Heart Charm and Pastel Pearls add a little more fun to finish the project.

Shawn – I always enjoy your projects, and this little box is great. At first glance the large elements catch my eye, and then I realize that it the little things like the stamped hearts and the pearls that make the center heart “pop”. Thanks for sharing.

Such a fun project, Shawn! I love these little boxes, and I adore how you’ve classed this one up with the Floral Hearts Dies and the fun sentiment. Great project!

I would never have added to larger die cut to the box. But you showed how perfect it looks! So I cannot wait to use this and make great treat boxes.
